The QFMXpander is an Intelligent Monitoring System that provides you with comprehensive driver management information enabling optimal efficiency and control of your transport fleet.
Other key benefits include:- expanded, fast and accurate wireless data communication
- input of detailed driver movements and behaviour
- easy registration of driver hours that helps you with wage calculation
- fuel cost savings
- and, ultimately, better service for your customers through accurate dispatch and load information.

Benefits:
- Driver identification and authentication
Security is an increasingly important factor in goods transport. QFMXpander permits identification and authentication of driver and co-driver by one of three ways: through
connection with the vehicle's digital tachograph using the driver's (or co-driver's)
identification card; through the EutelTRACS Global Login facility using user name and
password, or through the use of a key fob electronic tag inserted into a dash-mounted
reader unit.

- Detailed driver behaviour data
EEC commercial vehicle driver regulations stipulate four main areas of activity: resting, available, working and driving. Depending on the make and type of tachograph installed in the vehicle, QFMXpander allows access to data concerning two or more of these activities. Electronic digital tachographs provide information on all four activities, with QFMXpander allowing access to a number of sub-activities for calculation purposes, such as driver payroll. Sub-activities include, among others, loading/unloading, delays (various causes, such as toll, accident, breakdown etc.), re-fuelling, cleaning, maintenance and trailer drop and hook. QFMXpander communicates between host and vehicle in real-time, semi realtime and off-peak modes for processing and reporting by the HourTRACS system.

- Effective fuel management
In combination with the SensorTRACS performance monitoring system and HourTRACS, QFMXpander provides fuel management data either in FMS CAN-bus mode or in sensor input mode (depending on truck year and model). If fuel data provided through the FMS CAN-bus is not accurate enough for effective management, an optional Qualcomm fuel sensor may be connected to the QFMXpander. In addition, a warning device can be connected that alerts the driver visually and audibly if pre-set economic speed and RPM parameters are exceeded. Basic data accessed through QFMXpander that enables fuel management, whether in FMS CAN-bus mode or sensor input mode, includes engine speed (RPM), tachograph speed and switch status, total vehicle distance, power takeoff (PTO) status and fuel level. FMS CAN-bus mode allows additional input data such as accelerator pedal position, total engine hours, fuel consumption, vehicle ID and wheel base speed.
